Drawing on the advice and wisdom of everyday Missourians, as well as the counsel of state and local officials, Congressman Blunt each year submits a list of Southwest Missouri priorities to Congress for consideration during its annual appropriations process.
This year, after a thorough investigation and hours of debate, several of the priorities identified by Southwest Missourians and requested by Blunt were chosen for investment by the federal government. Among the projects selected, the money granted will be used to improve our region's infrastructure, expand its access to quality education and health care, and promote the advancement of new, cutting-edge technologies.
The list that follows identifies the Southwest Missouri priorities in which the federal government is making an investment this year:
